ok… tulle’s too soft for that sort of fullness. You’ll need crinoline or nylon net or cape net. Start with a half-slip portion at the hip, and add gathered layers of net with additional layers of net or crin gathered to the other edge of the netting.

Watch your legs… I prefer an underskirt because the netting or crin can be pretty abrasive.

Probably cheaper and easier is to look for a second hand bridal crinoline and cut it to the length you want; if you’re lucky, there may be a square dance supply/western supply store in your area that handles consignments. If there’s a Latino community in your area, check with the folks who do quinceanera dresses.

Or you may prefer a hoop skirt… rope makes a good stiffener.

I suggest do what most people do that are getting married with someone that has a completely different culture,which is,mix the both cultures together into one.It makes sense because a marriage is the union of two individuals.Therefore,both of their cultures could be mixed in together.They can put the groom’s traditions and the bride’s as well.
